Itinerary

The Snow Vallunaraju Norte of 5686 meters of height was and it continues being a mountain to be able to get acclimatized.

From this one it is possible to observe the snow-capped mountain Oxshapalca (5881m.), Ranrapalca (6162 m.) and other snow-capped mountains of the White Mountain chain in the northern part.
This one is a mountain that is opposite to Huaraz's city, therefore it has a sight of Huaraz and of Huaylas's alley, between these two summits 5 routes exist for the different walls, the first ascension went for the normal route to the beak North in the year of 1949. Also it is a strategic place for the practice of the ski mountaineering.

This mountain is one of the mountains headed for a time, In Huaraz was preferred one of the snowy mountain climbers for acclimatization.
You can see this mountain from the city of Huaraz, it is in the north side of Ranrapalca.

Vallanuraju is a glacier 5675 meter over sea level, from its summit is possible have a wonderful view of the other glacier of the Cordillera Blanca (white range). The Vallanuraju glacier is inside the valley Llaca, is close to the other mountains like Oxapalca and Ranrapalca glaciers, reason why is possible find big walls optimal for rock climbing and for ice climbing.

DAY 1: Departure from Huaraz with a private bus (3.100 m) to the ravine Llaca (3,800 m) which will make the first day camp. (3850 m)

DAY 2: We leave early and start the ascent to camp moraine (4,900 m.) about two hours distant from the ravine Llaca. This rise is quite steep and long, so you have to take necessary precautions and make the climb very slowly in order not to tire in the extreme and promote acclimatization.

DAY 3: Depart from the moraine camp at approximately 3 to 4. am. to reach the summit at about 8.00am. In this stretch of the moraine to the top of the glacier we deal with 4 to 5hrs. After obtaining the summit will be returning again to the starting point becomes the ravine Llaca where we expect the bus to return to the city of Huaraz.
