The mountain chain of the Huayhuash is located in the central saw of our country, in the region where there converge the departments of Ancash, Huanuco and Lima, approximately 50 Kms to the south of the White Mountain chain. Few places in the world possess landscapes as beautiful as those of the Mountain chain Huayhuash, which is one of ten more spectacular circuits of the world. The perpetual snow of his(her,your) mountains contrasts with the blue sky of his(her,your) sky and with the greenery of his(her,your) field.

The Mountain chain Huayhuash is probably the most spectacular of the Peruvian Andes. Six of his(her,your) summits exceed 6,000 meters and other 15 reach more than 5,400 m. His(her,your) more important snow-capped mountain, the Yerupaja (6,634 m.), it is the highest second mountain of Peru and the highest point of the enormous Amazonian basin.

DAY 1 : HUARAZ - CHIQUIAN - MATACANCHA (4.200 M)
Leave of Huaraz in bus until arriving more upper at the point of the Conococha highway (4.100 M), from where a part of the snowed ones of this spectacular mountain range is appraised, to take turned aside by the highway to the Antamina mine, that takes the city of Huallanca (3.450 M), 3 ½ to 4 hrs. Continuing the ascent by the broken Yuraqcocha happening the col of Cuncuah (4.700 M.s),

DAY 2 : MATACANCHA - CACANANPUNTA (4.700 M) - MITUCOCHA (4.300 M)
Beautiful stage, Collado easy to pass the West of the Mountain range of Huayhuash, point where the Pacific and the Atlantic are divided . Descend with a views towards the lagoon of Pucachocha, soon the hot broken to overcome in the direction of the lagoon of Mitucocha camping, 5 hours.

DAY 3 : MITUCOCHA - CARHUAC COLLADO (4.650 M) - CARHUACOCHA (4.138 M).

Carhuacocha. / Camping to borders of this lagoon.

DAY 4 : CARHUACOCHA - CARNICEROE COLLADO (4.600 M) - HUAYHUASH (4.350 M)
Stage that allows to take the normal way from 6 hours, easy and of good spectacle. The optional variant is by the broken on the foot of the snow-covered Siula and Carnicero, to pass a col of 4.800 M.s with greater difficulty than first.
Camping (6 hours of way).

DAY 5 : HUAYHUASH - COLLADO OF PORTACHUELO (4.750 M) - LAGUNA VICONGA (4.407 M)
Short stage of 3 to 4 hours, through the collado of easy Portachuelo to one hour and half, where the waters are divided again towards the Pacific Ocean and Atlantic. Soon we will arrive at the lagoon of Viconga to 4.400 M Camping on the foot of the lagoon, after making the field can be gone to refresh with a good bath in the thermal waters that is to half an hour of the field.

DAY 6 : VICONGA - COLLADO OF CUYOC (5.000 M) - HUANACPATAY (YANAPAMPA 4.350 M)
Goes back in the direction of the Collado of Cuyoc (5.000 M) this will be first the 5.000 M. of ours trekking from where we will have the best views of the mountain ranges Huayhuash and Raura. To one hour of the Collado is the camping of Yanapampa in the broken of Huanacpatay to 4.500 M (5 hours).

DAY 7 : HUANACPATAY - AUQUIMARCA (3.600 M.S), - HUAYLLAPA.
Moderate descend until arriving at the property of Auquimarca, quesero center of Auquimarca.
Camping (5 hours).

DAY 8 : HUAYLLAPA - COLLADO OF TAPUSH (4.800 M) - CASHPAPAMPA (4.500 M)
Again goes back until arriving at the passage of Tapush from where the made snow-white Dumb Devil is appraised and made snow-
white others start off mountain range. Soon it is descended through the Lagoon Susucocha to arrive at the field of Cashpapampa (6 hours).

DAY 9 : CASHPAPAMPA - LAGOON OF JAHUACOCHA (4.050 M)
Beginning of the long walk by a slope ascent good until the 4.300 M collado of Yaucha (4.800 M). Of where the majestic flight of the Cóndores will be able to be appreciated with a little luck. We will arrive at the Jahuacocha lagoon (6 hours of way).

DAY 10 : JAHUACOCHA - LLAMAC - HUARAZ
Continuing by the descend footpath already until the passage of Pampallamac (4.300 M), to be able to observe for the last time the snowed ones of this beautiful Mountain range, soon to arrive at the town of Llamac.
