AIRPORT IN PERU

Jorge Chávez International Airport (IATA: LIM, ICAO: SPIM) is located in the Constitutional Province of Callao, near the port and 10 km from downtown Lima. It is the main airport in Peru, because it concentrates the vast majority of international and domestic flights in the country, serving nearly 8.800.0002 passengers per year.
Its strategic location in the middle of the west coast of South America has become a major hub of the sub-continent. Noted for its huge projections on the connecting flights between the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe, which has resulted in sustained growth in the flow of passengers, cargo and mail.
Recently, for the second consecutive year has been chosen for the year 2010 as the best airport in South America, standing at number 33 world ranking by Skytrax Research a market research consultancy specializing in airport based in London, each year conducts a survey via the Internet to more than 9.8 million passengers from 100 nationalities, and users of at least 210 air terminals around the world, who choose their airports favoritos.3
It has also been chosen for the second consecutive time as the leader in South America Airport in 2010 for "The World Travel Awards, considered the prize" Oscar "of tourism and travel, which involves voting for travel agents around the world. On this occasion, voted more than 185,000 agents in 160 countries, who decided that the Lima airport is the best in the region sudamericana.4
He is currently the headquarters for South America Salvadoran airline TACA Peru TACA associated with Peru and Chile's LAN with LAN Peru Peruvian partner.
Comparatively, it is one of the best South American airports connected to the rest of the Americas in terms of international flights, beating even others who have greater passenger volume. It is also one of the fastest growing airports in the region, having registered a growth of 6% in terms of traffic during 2009. Recent Free Trade Agreements signed by Peru with different Asian countries open the possibility of connecting to the airport terminals Asia in the near future, with provision for more connections with American and European cities.
Currently has more ICAO 4E, which qualifies it as an airport capable of receiving wide-body aircraft like the B747, B777 or the A340. Additionally we work to improve in order to obtain more 4F considering receiving A380s.
